Oncidium Foundation Expands Radioligand Therapy Access in India

Agreements Signed and Productive Meetings During Belgian Economic Mission Pave the Way for Life-Saving Cancer Treatments in Underserved Communities in India.

New Delhi, India, March 11th, 2025 – As part of the recent Belgian Economic Mission to India, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, the Oncidium foundation achieved several key milestones to enhance awareness and access to radioligand therapy (RLT), an advanced cancer treatment in the Nuclear medicine field.

Central to this effort is the expansion of RLT-Connect in India, the foundation’s global treatment donation program, which provides support to patients unable to afford it. On the occasion, we welcomed two new centers: Max Healthcare Institute and H.O.D – House of Diagnostics, both based in New Delhi.

Significant Partnerships with Indian Medical Centers to Expand Access to Radioligand Therapy

The signing of the RLT-Connect agreement with Max Healthcare Institute, which runs the largest Oncology program in North India across 16 healthcare facilities, and H.O.D – House of Diagnostics, which provides quality and reliable diagnostic Imaging services at an affordable costs, marks a significant collaboration aimed at increasing access to RLT in India and raising awareness of its benefits.

“Our collaboration with the Oncidium foundation will focus on overcoming challenges such as raising awareness among healthcare providers, standardizing referrals for RLT, and facilitating the establishment of authority-approved centers to meet the unmet needs for these treatments.” said Dr. Jaspriya Bal, Nuclear medicine Physician at Max Healthcare and Oncidium foundation ambassador in India.

“We are very excited to formalize our collaboration with the Oncidium foundation for the RLT-Connect program. We envision supporting the treatment of many cancer patients in the Indian subcontinent and globally with this partnership” said Dr. Shubham Sogani, CEO of H.O.D.

The program is already established in India through partnerships with Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) in Gurugram, and Sarvodaya Healthcare in Faridabad. The latest agreements establish the third and fourth centers in the country to join the program, further strengthening support for patients.

A Global Mission, Supporting the Integration of Innovation into Local Healthcare

The Belgian Economic Mission provided the Oncidium foundation with the opportunity to take part in the India-Belgium Life Sciences Seminar, “Innovation and Complementarity for a Healthier World”, a productive event that brought together key players in the healthcare sector. Numerous discussions and relevant exchanges took place, all aimed at helping to advance global health and expand the Oncidium foundation’s mission globally.

The Belgian Economic Mission to India facilitated these meetings and collaborations, showcasing the strength of international partnerships in tackling healthcare disparities. By combining expertise and resources, these efforts contribute to sustainable and equitable access to innovative cancer treatments in India.
